Experience Material and Advertising
Visits to Smith & Caughey’s Santa’s Enchanted Forest are a treasured Christmas favourite, for both customers and staff. In 2023 I had worked on this project from a marketing standpoint, 7 of my 9 Christmases with Smith & Caughey’s, designing the advertising and experience collateral aligned with the Santa experience. This includes social advertising and support, online booking system branding, printed signage throughout the Smith & Caughey’s stores as well as signage throughout the Santa experience itself, printed take-home elements for our guests, and more.
I like to make a typographic statement out of “Santa”, similar to what you might see in a Christmas Movie title, to give a sense of grandeur and show Santa as an established figure. Over the many years working with this experience, I have found the combination of this “Santa” title, paired with a festive pattern to be a versatile and effective approach across the broad range of applications required in print and digital.

Walk through the
Enchanted Forest with me
Creating a piece of the Santa look-and-feel, and getting to support the making of the whole experience is still quite special 9 Christmases in. I love getting to be behind the scenes, and visiting the Enchanted Forest in that very short lived moment of quiet as it all comes together, right before everyone else gets to see it.
